The public are so much savvier about how they're sold to these days, it's not enough to ride on nostalgia. People are hungry for fresh ideas and thrills. it's up to them to surprise us and remind us of why there were stars then and why they deserve continued success now.

Use Bruce Willis as an example, every bit of a brand name action star from a bygone era, but when he makes something really good like"Looper" or even just a well liked crowd pleaser like "Red", they have done well. If Arnie or Sly would choose better movies, I do think they would be more successful.
