Not remotely interested. Pine looks like a Thunderbird puppet. Bland and charisma free. Only going to see Star Trek for Cumberbatch.

Beyond excited that Kenneth Branagh is directing..wished they had hired Jon Hamm for the role of Jack Ryan…Chris Pine is a terrible actor and needs to stick with the Star Trek franchise

Chris Pine as a young John KellyClark in Without Remorse would be a great move. I love the books but the character Ryan has been over played. I think the series (movies) would be better served with Clark being the new lead role.

I've read a couple of the books, and yes I would like to see another Jack Ryan film. I think they should just start all over but stick a little closer to the books.

I'm absolutely stoked to see another Jack Ryan movie – I even loved the Affleck one, despite Affleck (he's good in some roles, but never good genre work). I do agree that trying to turn him into a major summer draw is misguided – that ship sailed 20 years ago, and the kids filling seats in the summer don't even know what a "ship" is – but I think there's still a desire for a franchise. Ryan's hook is the reluctant desk jockey forced into the field, and I think it's enough.

wow,great article.really.
i guess it comes down to how movie is,and how they approach it.is it going to be action spectacle like bond or M:I movies or is it going to be a thriller with a hints of action like bourne??
i think the mix of both would work for them and in that case they can hope for some bigger numbers.
i personally am excited because i like chris and im always excited for a new action film especially if there is a chance to be good.
