Oh and I just thought of it (don’t know why I didn’t before), but the beloved quintessential romance epic of our time, not to mention the biggest box office proceedings of all-time, Titanic had it’s leading man die in the end! What research are they basing this theory off of?

I can’t complain since I haven’t seen the film. Yes, some characters need to die in films (would Braveheart be the same if he lived?), but then some don’t. For instance, I’ve always like the fact that Christian Slater lives in True Romance although in the original (QT) ending, he died. Luhrman’s vision may be wrong. Guess we’ll see.

NOOO!!!!! This is INSANE. One of the reasons Moulin Rouge was good is because the bitch dies at the end! You can’t take this away from him. How would you like if Bambi’s mother didn’t die. It doesn’t work, not in Luhrmann’s film. Don’t give in!!
