Firstly, if that really is the plot description of Prometheus, then if it\’s handled well, and Ridley certainly has the talent to do so, it could be very good indeed.

Secondly, why does some dumb schmuck always want to release the plot details before the film is even finished? Doesn\’t anyone enjoy the element of surprise when they go to see a film anymore?

What to believe? that i09 outline is truly horrendous. It sounds like Chronicles of Riddick VS Alien. The official outline doesn\’t sound too different, does it? the i09 story could easily fit into that official outline.

everything in this synopsis could have been stitched together from stuff we already know. the stuff from the harvest script, fassbender is an android, the prometheus saga etc.

this synopsis looked a bit dubious from the beginning, especially concerning the harvest script by spaiths.

This takes the franchise to a whole other level. If it\’s not what they are doing, it should be. The Alien movies have always hinted at a larger universe and mythology. This concept articulates that mythology in some unexpected ways.

This plot summary does indeed accomplish all of the goals of a good prequel as described by Lindelof in that interview you posted the other day.

I am inclined to believe this is for real.
