That's interesting. Still, even if Gilliam intended for Depp to portray all the rest of Ledger's scenes, I think it probably works better that each time Ledger goes through the mirror his appearance and demeanor changes. To me, it does something to make Ledger more of a fleshed out character, showing three different sides of him. If it was Depp and Ledger with equal screen time then Ledger's "real life" character would become too secondary…
