Agreed with Benjamin. Though Young Adult was so impressive, not because of the direction (which you wouldn\’t really know was a Reitman film had it not explicitly said so in the opening credits), but the screenplay (which was all Cody) and the exquisite acting – particularly Charlize Theron. In fact, Young Adult is probably one of my favorite films in recent years. It is wildly underrated. I know critics loved it but it didn\’t make much money. It\’s worth a rewatch. Theron should have really been nominated for an Oscar. Reminded me of Kidman in "To Die For."

If she doesn\’t enjoy directing, that\’s perfectly okay and more power to her for knowing her limitations but, honestly, everything that went wrong with \’Paradise\’ should be blamed on its script, not the directing. Had she made her directorial debut with, say, \’Young Adult\’, I\’m pretty sure she would have come out smelling like roses.

Well, she may not have the leadership qualities to be a director, but I still think she\’s a great writer.
