I'm hoping this is bullshit. This ground has been tread before... in a crappy holiday special 5 years ago. The original concept of "The Cheapest Muppet Film ever Made" sounded hilarious- Gonzo directs the new film and blows the budget in the first 5 minutes, leading "Be Kind Rewind"-esque creative solutions.

The Muppets are about creativity, not hitting the same notes over and over. Jim would be ashamed of this stale route.

Blech! "Tex Richman" wants oil. I am so sick of liberal Hollywood taking something as fun as the Muppets and sticking some stupid left-wing jabs in their stories. I love the Muppets, but won't see this movie because of its obvious bias.

I think that the writers are creating the plot with good intentions. I think that bringing the show back will be a good thing because for those of us who watched it as children, we'll remember the many funny sketches like pigs in space and the great Gonzo; in other words reminise about the good ol' days. But it will also allow the new generation to see the muppets in their "natural" environment instead of in yet another Christmas special.

Never, Joe R! Never will I say it's familiar-sounding. Actually, it sounds like a lot of "get the band back together" type plotlines. Nothing wrong with that as long as it delivers.

Ummm… this is Disney's "The Country Bears" Famous performers, now retired, having to be brought back together to save their performance hall from a rich guy who wants to tear it down… with lots of cameos by famous folk.

I know the movie wasn't seen by a lot of people, but *someone* must realize this plot sounds familiar…

The company I work for had the actual Muppets go through the office. I met them and loved them! The company I work for also had Brian Henson go through the office. I met him and loved him! They kept saying that they wanted cameos of Johnny Depp and George Clooney in their new picture. If they can get these two in the picture, it would be hilarious! I know this because they talked to me when my company brought them through itself.

The company I work for had a copy go through the office. I read it and LOVED IT! One of the best Muppet Movies in a long time. Also some hysterical cameos if they're able to get the A-list actors featured in the script.
