Seriously, what\’s next? A debate on whether Lynch should launch a shoe line under the BRAND of Twin Peaks, or that he should "stick to investments such as a TV show, that have already been proven to pay off"?

Wait, so you acknowledge that David Lynch has already worked with Getty and Watts in the past, but then later on you imply that he wants to cast them now solely because they\’re \’famous faces\’? Surely you can fathom the concept of \’frequent collaborators\’?

Oh and btw, no, Lynch shouldn\’t be keeping the focus on the ingredients that have ALREADY made the show special, because in art, when you try to REPEAT things that have already been done, it\’s generally impossible that you end up with anything SPECIAL.

Don\’t let the Hollywood executives know.

If she\’s right for the part they have in mind, then why not? If nothing else, Lynch (and casting director Johanna Ray, obviously) has a fantastic eye for an interesting face and interesting personality. Watts is also a very good actor.

I kind of hate when there are all these movie star cameos – very distracting. Give some newcomers a chance (like he did with Watts in the first place)

JJL is fantastic. Rush and Single White Female? She can really act. I don\’t know a lot of Naomi Watts\’ work, but I think Lynch knows who and what he wants. I totally trust him.

I took it to mean he was looking to add *additional* famous faces, not faces that were more famous. Either way, they\’re both great actresses, who have both given amazing performances and received critical and popular acclaim throughout their varied careers. JJL is gonna be great in TP, and i would love to see NW in there as well.

Fully agree with Lulu\’s comment here: JJL is an underrated acting legend, and the "more famous faces" reporting here smacks of condescension. Lynch and Jason Leigh together will be an inspired collaboration.

Lynch\’s work since TP has been incredible so I\’m hoping it\’s more a continuation of that journey. Loving the names coming up, I\’d be happy with even more iconic faces from the Lynch universe showing up. You do JJL a disservice though when you skirt past her to deal with \’more famous faces\’, Jason Leigh\’s a headliner for me, she\’s an acting legend.

watts\’ only solid performance was in Mulholland Drive, so she should definitely do this…
