I don\’t think it\’s indicated anywhere that Mara got real tattoos. There are temporary type tattoos that stick around for a few months, and it\’s more likely she got those. As much as she\’s throwing herself into the role, she\’s going to play other characters and you can take piercings out.

I don\’t understand why she has to be topless. If Lisbeth is supposed to be a strong empowered woman surely having her topless is objectifying her. Maybe Fincher doesn\’t see it that way and believes that it shows Lisbeth is fearless but i think having her topless in the print campaign will inevitably have her objectfied and leered at by men.

I love a lot of his movies – especially benjamin button and zodiac. and I like his approach. but i am very uncomfortable with this remake, I hope it works out because its a great story but judging by these pictures I feel it has already been lost. Salander would not be impressed – topless, really ?
and can we stop using the word franchise ! makes me not want to ever go to a movie again
