Okay, I'm freaking out with the thought of Fincher directing one of my favorite books. He would be great. I think Reese would be good, too, but maybe since she's producing Charlize or Jessica Chastain?

It's worth noting that Reese Witherspoon is attached as a producer, not the star. There is still a chance another actress altogether could land the role in the film.

i guess am i the only one who thinks this project suitable for fincher?yeah i'm not big resee witherspoon fan but story looks not bad at all.when he decided to doing social network i remembered comments eventually he did great job with that movie.although im not big fan it,doing movies like panic room and tgwdt is great support for actresses.

Pfffff… i was kindda hoping that Fincher would direct that Captain Nemo movie with Pitt… Even if that project doesn't have a green light, i hope he does the sequel of The Girl With The Dragoon Tatoo… instead of these, which doesn't sound like Fincher thing
