This is a writer whose association with high-grossing projects is essentially incidental. His association with these projects is actually a scarlet letter that they'll be superficially overstuffed with content that never amounts to anything, undone by a basic lack of care (or inability?) to pull anything together not riddled with plot holes and loose ends. He's just a bad writer piggy-backing more successful friends and contemporaries on projects that could have so much potential if approached by writers who aren't lazy hacks.

They're working with 250+ million dollar budgets and endless possibilities, and they squat and leak out such half-baked projects.
