The team of artists who do these Criterion covers deserve a Macarthur genius grant -- seriously. 99% of them are amazing...sometimes better than the movie they're for.

P.S. Criterion releases Wes Anderson for $$$ reasons only now. The fact that they didn't include the de rigueur essay for Life Aquatic speaks volumes.

Wow, Darjeeling may not have been his best effort, but it wasn't terrible. I'd give it around a B- and the Playlist is correct in that it's worth re-evaluating. I just re-queued it on my netflix.

And I feel Wes Anderson has since redeemed himself with Fantastic Mr. Fox even though the movie is 100% Wes Anderson all the way through, I still loved it. So, I still dig Wes Anderson.

Great! The commentaries should finally give Wes Anderson and co. to finally explain what the fuck they were thinking! I'm sure they're stoked to get a extras-laden DVD for "Darjeeling," since that's where the movie should have gone straight to in the first place :)

Wow great group of films! If you haven't seen The Magician then now's your chance; an extremely underrated Bergman film. Also, Paths of Glory, WOOHOO! I could care less for more love for the tired, repetitive and overrated Anderson on Criterion, oh well. Just watched the trailer for House, though, OMG! That looks amazing!

M
