Interesting review…felt like a lot of whining but whatever. For those of you who haven\’t seen this movie I have to say it was entertaining, though nothing to be completely enthralled by…the visual effects and score were awesome and completely worth seeing in theaters.

*Also, I was totally wondered the same thing \’goldfarb\’…who was taking care of that dog!?

I for one think the review is both funny and spot on. The plot makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, and anyone who calls spoiler on this is probably the same guys who were like \”Jesus dies in Passion of the Christ, SPOILER ALERT!!\”

If any of you had seen the movie, you\’d realize I didn\’t spoil anything that wasn\’t evident in the first five minutes of the film. Or even the marketing. And to think, re: spoilers… if you can \”spoil\” a movie like \”Tron Legacy,\” truly a visual experience and nothing more, then why bother even going to the movies in the first place?

And T19, clean up your act, that\’s no way to talk to such a sweet lady.

Kathleen, fuck off. This IS a bad review. No one is hurt over Gabe\’s comedy routine featuring Tron spoilers, but if this site and it\’s writers take bad films to task, then so should the writing staff be called all out for bad reviews. I don\’t doubt you found it entertaining, because the entire thing was a desperate attempt to be snarky, self-important and above-it-all cool. What it didn\’t do was actually review the film. This was just lazy…and to think the headline calls the film a masterclass in poor storytelling when this review is a masterclass in how not to give a worthwhile film review.

Gabe, disliking the film and giving it a pan is one thing, but the manner in which this review is constructed is both condescending and snarky as hell. It\’s an easy way out and equally lazy display of writing, especially considering the review that your piece serves as a counterpoint to. By no means is it effusive praise, but it at least takes the time to articulate their feelings on it without resorting to hyperbolic displays of pseudo-criticism.

I\’m a regular reader of this site, /Film, Ain\’t It Cool and Hollywood Elsewhere. To me, this site\’s a great middle ground of the fanboy-centric news that you\’ll see on /Film or AICN, with stronger commentary and the more high-brow musings of Jeff Wells\’ site. When I read the blustery, rage-induced things you post in those talkbacks, it feels like a put-on. Here also, it feels like a put-on.

You\’re obviously successful enough and have a strong point of view to not care or listen to my half-assed lecture, but all I\’m saying is that while this type of review may generate knee-jerk discussion or some web hits, I feel like you lose a ton of credibility. Be better than that, man.
