Ms. Yusuf, obscene amounts of money is what we pay to day to see good talent on stage. We just took the family to see Hamilton and you will be shocked to know what it costs, but it was well worth it. Ms. Blanchett will be on stage in New York later on in the year and you know what a hot ticket that is going to be. Start saving, lol!

Cate Blanchett is a treasure trove of tremendous talent. I paid an obscene amount of money to see her on the New York Stage in THE MAIDS, and she was completely worth it! I loved her style, her look, her pathos and the reflection of a hundred simmering desires from the corners of her coquettish smiles. My favourite romantic movie of all time remains A SINGLE MAN starring Colin Firth – a beautiful and melancholic delving into erotic desire, nostalgia and coping with loss.

I saw this wonderful film several times at the Paris theatre in New York with a mixed audience: young, old, black, white, gay and lesbian couples, heterosexual couples and the audience applauded at the end of the film. I had tears in my eyes! I am glad that people are connecting with the whole concept of people loving people today. Cate Blanchett is the best actress ever born and she sets the bar high, indeed. Rooney Mara holds her own indeed. It is wonderful to see Ms. Mara evolve from a very good actress to the A list one she has become today. I want all of the people whining today about who gets nominated and who does not to watch these two actors and study them and learn from them. Ms. Blanchett is a married woman with a husband and 4 children. Ms. Mara is also involved with her man. Study how these two heterosexual women became Carol and Therese on the screen and you will learn something about the fine art of acting. Todd Haynes, the director, showed a lot of class when he and the film was snubbed for best director and best film. Mr. Haynes\’ can rest assured that this glorious film will live on long after all of the others will be forgotten. People will discover and enjoy this gem for years to come. Carol will always be a valued part of our film collection!
