Wong Kar-Wai‘s martial arts epic “The Grandmaster” kicks its way onto screens this weekend, with a generous push from The Weinstein Company. The studio has been promoting the movie via traditional methods, but they’ve also been thinking outside the box. Last month, they brought Wong Kar-Wai to San Diego for Comic-Con and in a fitting fashion, a comic book was created at the same time and released at the convention. But if you weren’t in San Diego and still want to check it out, we’ve got a pretty special treat…
We’ve got a handful of copies of the “Ip Man: The Grandmaster Of Kung Fu” comic, signed by Wong Kar-Wai, to give away to some lucky readers. Created by former Marvel and IDW editor Andy Schmidt, and artists Chris Evenhuis, PH Marcondes and more, the comic is based on the film, which tells the story of Ip Man, the martial arts master who became a legendary figure, training many, including a young man by the name of Bruce Lee. So how can you grab a copy to call your own?
Email us with your name and address and tell us what other Wong Kar-Wai movie you’d like to see turned into a graphic novel. Good luck!
“The Grandmaster” is in theaters now.
Update: Contest closed, winners will be contacted via email.
