We all know films that come too late anymore, even in a year without a front runner, rarely make an impact. That&#039;s why I don&#039;t think Phantom Thread, or whatever it will be called, will garner many noms. Yes, the writer of The Post also co-wrote Spotlight, but Tom McCarthy isn&#039;t the co-writer this time.  It&#039;s a woman who has only written some TV (same as Singer). ALSo, Spielberg is the wildcard here. His films lately have seemed very By the numbers which could leave The Post being mediocre.]]></description>
