Recently re-watched Inside Llewyn Davis and realized that it\’s probably one of the finest films the Coens have ever made. This may sound strange but I think the increasing cynicism in their latest movies (since No Country) is actually a huge improvement over their flat-out comedies, which I also really love. It\’s just amazing to me that these guys are still growing artistically. To me, they are probably the best American filmmakers working right now.
