I can think of one or two minor characters who Collins Jr. could be playing, though, and neither are Japanese.

the story is only partially set in japan. it\’s a big glob trotting picture and the majority of the japanese scenes take place in a big international agency set up to battle the monsters, so in the script you only really have two japanese characters at all.
