It features the best fast-then slow-then fast again car chase I've ever seen. Sure, I think Juliette Lewis was miscast and that the film slows down considerably when Phillippe and/or Benicio aren't on the screen, but for McQuarrie to be sent to "director's jail" over it is absurd. I also enjoyed Jack Reacher. Dialogue was sharp, action was well shot. I'm on board with whatever project he brings us next, whether it's as only a screenwriter or as both a writer and director.
