Well, I think that's a bit too judgemental. Should we expect Bale, an excellent, thoughtful actor who tries to avoid paycheck work, to say no after being pursued by McG (and likely enticed by a HUGE payday) to that extent? I mean, what's wrong with him saying yes to this? I'm sure it will be a movie that has nothing to say about the human condition, but its hard to say it will be hateful, racist or sexist, right?

Well, ok, given Moon Bloodgood's chest, maybe it will be sexist.

But this is how a serious actor sells this thing. He doesn't bullshit and say, Oh, I found all these interesting hidden layers in the script, the Terminator is today's Shakespeare, etc. He signed on, the project obviously morphed into something else at some point, and we wasn't going to back out of it disrespectfully. Yeah, he's coming close to shit-talking the project, but its better than insincerely calling this the must-see of the summer or some shit.

McG sounds like he's moving on. Bet Bale does too.

Right, and now he’s trying to make excuses for it. He took the risk, let’s face it,cause he didn’t know if it would end up like Batman Begins/Dark Knight. Now that it’s clear it won’t (24% rottentomatoes right now), he’s backsliding like a motherfucker.
