It's not about his height on the poster, but his body size compared to the characters in front of him. You can physically measure his size compared to Fury or Black Widow (the next closest to him in the fore ground) and he's clearly way too big. I personally don't care, nor am I complaining, but as it has been pointed out now, he does look oddly proportione compared to everyone else.
