The book really makes more sense as a series. Each character has significant storylines, it travels from the Midwest to Philly to New York and then to Europe, and as long as they have someone whose darkly funny work on dysfunctional families fits so well with Franzen\’s it seems totally plausible they could successfully expand on the story if needed.

Also, great casting so far, really curious to see who else they get.

according to deadline, this is for a SERIES, not a movie. just thought i should point that out. i would be much more interested in seeing this as a movie.

also, does that mean the liberace movie will actually be an HBO release, or a theatrical release?
