i’ll keep my eyes open. No, Pittsburgh’s not that small, though I wasn’t surprised at all it didn’t make the cut for the initial release in nine markets. seems to get passed over a good deal with things like that, likewise with live music–although in the latter respect it seems to be getting better.

just glancing through the past week or so of posts I’ve gotta say you all are pretty prodigious. wasn’t aware you were out there until a google search on the Che film kicked up your post. now that i no longer rely on Stuart Klawans regularly for movie reviews (since my Nation print sub lapsed), I’m gonna subscribe to your RSS feed to get a steady helping of movie reviews and news. keep up the good work– really enjoyable and incisive stuff you produce.

Well i hope you get a chance to see it. I'm very curious if people off the beaten path like yourself (though, c'mon pittsburg ain't that small is it?) who do have more than basic cable, have watched it/bought it on VOD.

I almost bought it myself again, but that would be three screenings and i should probably save that almost-five hours for something else.

great post. not only am i not an asshole who lives in NYC or LA, but neither am I one who lives in the nine large markets you reference. i am, however, an asshole who lives in pittsburgh, pa. I've been dying to find out how when the film might be showing in my area, but I haven't been able to find anything about it. any word on if/when the distribution will be expanded to include other smaller markets beyond those initial markets?

don't have anything beyond basic cable either, and, in any event, I'd like to see it on the big screen.
