Peter Jackson is about to piss a lot of people off by writing this whole bit to \”connect\” the Hobbit to TLOR. Galadriel is not in the Hobbit. There\’s no reason to have her in this movie. I knew it was coming, but I\’m still not prepared for the anger it\’s going to evoke.

Jed Brophy has been in almost every Peter Jackson film, including Lord of the Rings (as an Orc) and District 9. He\’s like the Bruce Campbell or Ted Raimi to Sam Raimi\’s films. In many ways, this is really cool that he\’s getting a major role now.

It appears that ANDREW LESNIE is also returning as cinematographer
despite IMDB listing Guillermo Navarro.

Several cinematographer websites and the RedUser website
have discussed Lesnie testing the EPIC cameras for THE HOBBITT

Navarro is a great shooter but Lesnie is, after the LOTR\’s and KONG, already totally immersed in
Peter Jackson\’s world and that would be a good thing . . . .
and loyalty is also a good thing.

I would guess that RED will be sending a fleet of designers and technicians with the EPICs [ like they did with the first RED ONES on CHE ]
to make sure they perform well.
