Middle-aged gentile Gary Sinise was absolutely nothing like the way the character is depicted in Roth's books when they made that shit film of the Human Stain. That film was just grossly miscast though in almost every area, however (Ed Harris was good but hardly in it. Nicole Kidman was good but a little too glamorous. Anthony Hopkins, what was that about?!) This looks more promising; I reckon McGregor'd make a good Swede Levov. Thank God (AKA Roth) that Fisher Stevens isn't directing anymore, though.
