Till after around one year\’s today, still hasn\’t come out this project. (8 For sure Carey Mulligan is just attractive to everyone of us folks, no matter she stars in any roles.

I love Carey Mulligan, she is a great actress. I am very excited for this project and I enjoy Baz Luhrmann\’s films and I hope it turns out great. 🙂

Luhrmann\’s films have all the maturity and emotional honesty of a drag queen after happy hour. There are at least a dozen other directors that could actually do the story justice rather than bury it under what I suspect will be a waterfall of glitter, camp, and garish editorial effects.

And what\’s the point of putting someone of Mulligan\’s calibre in one of his films? You certainly won\’t be able to appreciate her through all of the forced visual mechanics and sparkly doo-dads. She\’ll be reduced to a prop.

I want to care, I want Baz to be back on form but I just think that the movie will be aesthetically pleasing but will be overwrought and mediorce. I hope I am wrong.
