HA! McRaj, you are funny. Directing well-regarded classics, like The Great Gatsby & Romeo & Juliet- subtlety is definitely needed. Because of Baz\’s excessive directing style , it took me out of his movie version of Romeo & Juliet. Always directing with a sledgehammer style is not always appropriate, sadly that is all Luhrmann is capable of doing . Trust me, if I had to choose a director to direct a over-the-top film adaptation of The Great Gatsby, Michael Bay would be more suitable for the job than Luhrmann.
