THANK YOU! Funny knowing more people are starting to get sick of the 21st century introverted superhero. Our kids are going to hate watching movies from the 00s because they\’re filled with Woody Allen and Jason Bourne mannerisms. I think the Bourne and new Batman movies will be the only franchises to transcend and become classics.

I cannot stop and stare at those horrible parachute straps that extend out onto his shoulders. What is the purpose of those things on a costume that\’s attempting to look utilitarian? They even fold over once on the way across; that doesn\’t make them any more useful. By the sequel, if it\’s still set during WW2, watch as those straps are eliminated.

Let\’s see, this movie takes place during WWII so I am going to take a wild shot in the dark and say that besides the obvious connection to the forthcoming Avengers film the \”something\” he will be avenging that so perplexes you is perhaps the attack on Pearl Harbor where 2,388 lives were lost? You know, the little known event that brought America into the global conflict that brings the main character in the film into existence?

You guys seriously need to find another vocation besides the incessantly puerile Joe Johnston-hating.

Excuse the rant, but I don\’t get the snark on this one.Um, it says Avenger because he is one of the Avengers. It\’s really that simple. Are you upset that Iron Man isn\’t really made out of Iron too?

The costume/shield are classic and iconic enough to convey that it\’s Captain America…not to mention the red, white, and blue. I think they\’re smart to not go overboard with the America theme.

Also…it\’s a character poster. Don\’t most movies like this have a series of character posters plus normal posters? Not sure why you think the entire plot and theme of the movie needs to be conveyed in the first teaser/character poster.

Also – if you knew anything about Captain America in recent years you would know it\’s not just \”fun stuff.\” Not even close.

Considering the name and costume of the hero, I think it\’s smart to try to present him this this way rather than as cheesy, \”fun stuff\” which would do nothing but ensure that anyone over the age of 12 doesn\’t go see it.

And lastly, a poster that shows the first fully costumed picture of a well-known classic American comic character I think will be enough to the \”average filmgoer\” to notice it in the theaters.
