Revenant and Hateful Eight could have been 30-60 min less in the theatre experience and get an extended cut later. I enjoyed those movies, but they felt both a little to long to me, at home on the other side, I love to explore more.

It\’s more of an issue to the theaters that want to show it as many times as it can in a single day.

I never understood why running time is such an issue. Roger Ebert was right when he said, "No good movie is too long and no bad movie is too short."

So, basically, the actual movie will run about two hours, with twenty-seven minutes of credits tacked-on.
