Heh. Like i said, I wouldn’t disagree much. The fur thing seemed particularly dated. I’ll never defend this movie. I didn’t say it was good, by any means, let the record show. It does get a few small points above a D though (not that that’s saying a ton).

The fact that “In Search of a Midnight Kiss” is being doted as a great American indie film is embarrassing. Scoot McNairy has flow, but Sara Simmonds acts as though she is on stage in some children’s show. Terrible acting and totally unoriginal. I also think it’s a shame they she (Simmonds) is wearing fur. Gross and irresponsible! I really wanted to see this film, because of the hype, but now I’ve realized that the hype is being put out there by the film’s backers.

I would never argue with that assessment, but I would be lying if it didn’t admit that it won me over a bit near the end. Or won me over enough to think that it wasn’t completely disastrous.

I saw midnight kiss at the Chicago Film Festival for $13 and I felt like I had been robbed. I think it was just awful.
