Just returned from watching 'The Homesman' and agree with the review. This was an uneven film and several scenes seemed just fill in the time (James Spader and Meryl Streep's to name two). A little disappointing as it would have seemed more appropriate to understand why Hilary Swank's character ended up as a single woman farming a large spread in Nebraska. Since this is a film supposedly visiting a number of themes, it falls short on all of them, unfortunately.

Totally stoked about this one. Lee Jones' a Westerner at heart. Btw, the plot of this movie also reminds me of Kelly Reichardt's slow-burner Western starring Michelle Williams and Zoe Kazan, Meek's Cutoff.
