"sigh" indeed. A review of a film you barely understood. Otherwise you might at least have acknowledged the incidental details are pretty good, some of the adult performances are terrific and there's a thoughtfulness to the framing devices.
Or you might have realised Skunk has a nanny, not a stepmom- a substantially different role. It's so easy to write snark; but as this review proves it's much harder for some to absorb movies then write about them authoritatively.

This review absolutely hit the nail on the head (with the exception of the stepmother mistake). The overacting of Rory Kinnear was cringeworthy. The film was utterly pointless. It's a a shame that talented actors like Tim Roth are wasted in this drivel.

Just seen this film and was held throughout by the acting and the way the film was produced rather than the story line which tries to bring too many threads (and pretty unbelievable threads at that) together, which feels forced. I can't imagine many people living with the kinds of neighbours/school/ general mayhem, in what looks like a pleasant middle class cul de sac at the back of Alexandra Palace. The acting though is pretty good, especially Lawrence and Roth and I can never fault Cillian. Rory Kinnear seems a bit out of place but the part is such a one dimensional and contradictory one, I don't think it's his fault. Still, really worth watching for all that.

Kevin, you have also got Kasia's character description wrong. She is the Cunningham's family nanny who ends up having a relationship with Archie after her own relationship with Mike falls apart. Maybe you should re-visit the film and try writing a review once you fully understand it.
