David couldn't direct flies to shit... oh wait, he can! Maybe that's why there were more flies on faces than corpses to bear them. Worst movie I've seen this year; RT was generous.

This sounds like a good film. It is rated fresh at least with a 65% I am protesting Jessica Kiang. I think she is highly biased. At Cannes she joked in her report that Kristen was to laid back to attend a press conference. She never reported that Kristen was shooting a film in New Orleans. Jessica undermined Stewart before she even arrived. Then she reported that she heard boos during the screening of Sils Maria.I heard no boos during the video of the standing ovation. It is on video.Jessica gave negative connotation toPlaylist rated the film rotten. Playlist had the only rotten review out of Cannes. I think they are biased. Yes, Jessica rated Maps to the Stars fresh but her vote was not enough to lift it into the fresh category coming out of Cannes. Biased, biased, biased is my opinion of Playlist.

B+ is a fair grade. Michod is truly a visionary filmmaker and unafraid to chart new territory and his choice of actors has proven to be the right one. It takes courage to take risks, and this movie sounds fascinating to me.

I can't wait to see this, it sounds powerful and mysterious.

It is interesting how Pattinson is seeking out these auteurs and auteurs in the making. This should forever bury his vampire past. I think we can all agree he did those films because he was young and needed the money. Now that he's free to choose his own path, it's much richer and intelligent. No dumb romcoms or easy money for him now.

oftentimes i ask myself when viewing films after a societal collapse is: was the post-apocalyptic setting necessary to tell the story? could this not have been told in a modern setting without taking anything away from the film?
