This film simply is what it is and it perfectly executes what it sets out to do. Sorry if that doesn't live up to this particular critic's agenda, but doing what is critically suggested would have sunk the entire effort in didactic agitprop.

I saw this movie tonight and absolutely LOVED IT! If you want a feel-good movie that makes you laugh, brings tears to your eyes, gives you an insight to the plight of the Aboriginal people of Australia, the drama of the Vietnam War thrown in, excellent acting by the incredibly charming and sweet Chris O'Dowd, four feisty and captivating Aboriginal girls who will knock your socks off with their singing AND the stunning voice of Jessica Mauboy, plus a good dose of romance – then THIS is your movie! This film has enormously broad appeal – please go see it, you won't regret it!

If your reviewer didn't want to be grossly offensive, he'd remove the quotation marks around Stolen Generation and remove the word 'essentially' from that sentence, too. Then he could go and find out the slightest little bit of the history of the Stolen Generations, and stop being so ignorant.
