finally the worst director in canada receives appropriate reviews. we need to stop bad canadian cinema. too many years of too many duds. our movies are so horrible, the CFC has NEVER even had a good short! egoyan is one of the reasons why everyone in LA thinks our content is a joke.

It's amazing that Egoyan plays in competition, his films are one step above Lifetime specials and always have been. Manipulative trash and nothing more.

ouch, scathing. i'll watch it b/c of Egoyan, but he really is the definition of diminishing returns these days. once hailed as a giant-to-be, it does really seem Exotica, The Sweet Hereafter were anomalies. then again, i'll judge The Captive after i see it.
