@Christian — thanks for the heads up. Brief research on the subject reveals that the original novel, titled \”Mygale\” was published in 1984, but more recent copies, with additions and an English translation have been republished over the years, most recently in 2005 under the name \”Tarantula.\” It\’s somewhat unclear exactly which edition Almodovar was working from, so we\’ll clarify above. thanks!

There\’s a mistake. Almodóvar\’s \”The skin I live in\” is based on Thierry\’s Jonquet \”Tarántula\”: this is correct, but this novel was not written or published in 2005…
