The novels didn\’t have theme songs, so copying that motif could potentially lead to legal issues. The barrel-opening, the 007 logo, the "brand" – its not theirs.

But there\’s still huge potential if something more creative can be put forward. I would kill to see adaptations of the novels set in the time in which they were written – so much potential for commentary on sexism, social norms, geo-politics, etc. I really wanna see Bond\’s house-keeper, May, on-screen.

I remember back in the day (before Sony absorbed MGM) there was the idea that both studios might make Bond movies, and I thought that could be fun. Competition improving performance and all that.
