The first two X-Men movies are slightly over-rated as is the first Spider-Man, but that's probably because they were decent-to-good superhero movies that followed the last big superhero movie which was Batman & Robin. By comparison, they were Citizen Cane.

The first two X-Men movies are okay but really are more incredible for allowing better filmmakers to come along & pave the way with better superhero films. Honestly the only great X-Men movie so far has been FIRST CLASS. Hopefully Singer can bring his A-game & not the level of material he's been putting out for the past few years.

i think both movies were average and maybe even somewhat below but i could still watch them. x-men 3 just ticked me off with killing off characters for no reason. Superman felt a little redundant from previous films, even though spiderman/amazing spiderman sort of did the same thing it worked for me in those films but superman just lacked something for me. I'm just glad Singer is back where he belongs continuing the x-men stories. can't wait till the next film.

I didn't think The Last Stand wasn't too bad. Not as good as the first two, but the end of a trilogy rarely is.

I think he's being a bit hard on himself with regard to Superman Returns, which is a bit unwieldy plot-wise, but a far better film than it gets credit for in general.
