He’s a passable actor at best who found a niche’ where he excelled but was never really challenged for the most part IMHO. But that doesn’t mean he was doomed to obscurity at some point. That’s more of a choice of vehicle than anything else, and he could of easily continued a mediocre career for the rest of his life. Look at Johnny Depp for example.

So I can see if he had an extreme reaction to both the assault and the lack of action based on his complaints how it might sour him to the whole hollywood scene. Everyone has different reactions when presented with the jarring emotions of assault of any kind. And until just recently power brokers had pretty much carte blanche in regards to their behaviour. So you try fighting a losing fight like Corey Feldman, retreat, or put up with it. Fraser decided to retreat.
