I heard one or two actresses say, “he tried it on with me but I told him what he could do” presumably these females never got a role from him. Suppose that the other dozens of women had Reluctant-but-consensual sex because they thought an offer was forthcoming? 10, 20 years later, feeling shame that they engaged in Reluctant-but-consensual sex they have travelled too far to retract. It becomes a feminist war but how you distinguish SOME acts of rape from Reluctant-but-consensual sex is beyond difficult but should i be called ‘vile’ just for suggesting stuff?

The fact that this writer felt he needed to identify Breillat as a “French Filmmaker” in the headline goes to show how far the Playlist has fallen. Breilliat is an icon of cinema and widely regarded as one most powerful and iconoclastic female voices in the history of the medium.
