While I would have liked to see a Natalie Portman/Jude Law reunion, I'm just glad that this project is forging ahead. I was really excited by it when it was first announced, and I would hate to see it die a slow death in development hell.

He was good in Silver Linings Playbook but I don't know if he is a staunch leading man in the way that Fassbender or Law are. He should probably try emulate the career of Dustin Hoffman with a blend of comedy-dramas.

That is quite the casting coup by any standards. Cooper is much more high profile than Law or Fassbender and highly in demand with a great box office record. Kudos to the team to on this film for holding everything together despite all the upheavals.
