A little sentimental, yes, but I'm a sucker for that stuff. I want to support original stories so I'm glad to see it do reasonably well.

This is wrong. The first Percy Jackson made $15.3 in it's second weekend. It's opening weekend was $31,236,067 and $38,661,634 for it's 4 Day President's Day Weekend compared to Percy #2's $23,457,000 for it's 5 day opening.
