That's a hell of a lot of extrapolation with little evidence, lets wait & see, the drop on Saturday isn't indicative of word of mouth, it's indicative of a fan rush that the LOTR films didn't have to such a degree. Midnight screenings have become a lot less of a niche thing in the intervening years & this film made far more than the LOTR did at midnight. Also those films opened on Wednesdays, so the flux from the fan rush wouldn't be felt as strongly on the "opening weekend" statistics. Its opening matches The Two Towers for attendance & it's slightly earlier in the season than each of the LOTR films opened, which should allow it to take even more advantage of the big moviegoing season to come in the coming weeks. There really isn't much in the way of box office competition for a long long time as well.
