If Hollywood keeps rehashing movies that have already been done, people won\’t go. People go see original movies, but why spend $15 on a ticket to see Footloose done less well with worse actors when you can watch the original, which was well-done? And The Thing is a remake of a 1982 REMAKE. So it\’s the third time that movie has been done.

no recognizable stars for the Thing isn\’t a bad thing, horror genre has proven you don\’t need stars to drive box office numbers…does Paranormal Activity even have real actors?

They would have been wiser to have cast someone like Shia LaBeouf, Anton Yelchin or Penn Badgley instead of Kenny Wormald in Footloose and this movie would have been No. 1 at the box office and much more critically and commercially successful.
