Damn you, Farrell! You make my head hurt! Once you think you've got a handle on Farrell's abilities, he'll surprise you (both positively and negatively). He's much, much better than the material deserves in 'Fright Night' and 'Total Recall'. He's similarly very good in 'Crazy Heart' and 'The Way Back'. He actually gives very lived-in and credible performances in all those films. However, his turn in 'Seven Psychopaths' is the most nothing, overwrought piece of acting as he tries to convince you he's a tortured writer(!), and his corrupt cop in 'Pride and Glory' is laughable. What the hell, Farrell? There is no narrative (he's good/bad in important films, he's good/bad when working with bad filmmakers and material) that can explain his career and skillset.

Poor Farrell, it really wasn't that bad a movie. Maybe his supporting turn in Saving Mr. Banks will boost him up.

So, with all the hate towards Franco by the critics (nice try) and this movie, they managed to bring in $80 million domestic and $150 million counting foreign box office total. Hahahaha, Franco's winning.....

I'm very happy for Sam Raimi, he deserves it greatly. I'm sure this movie will have legs during the coming weeks. I enjoyed Franco's lead performance as well as everyone else in the movie.

Oz is a nice Disney family movie and the Oz brand lives even stronger now with some new generations.

That means, whatever you think of Franco, he has had hit back-to-back blockbusters with Spiderman franchise, Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Oz. What a movie star...

Love that Franco does small indie movies and then large ones like these.... Just great.....
