I loved Maleficent! It was the best fairytale retelling I've ever seen. I saw it twice and want to see it again. Angelina Jolie acted superbly (I echo Olivia in that I couldn't look away) and I loved the empowering message.

Saw Maleficent tonight and it was amazing! I love the message it sends to young girls everywhere. Angie's performance was incredible. Honestly I couldn't take my eyes off her! The visuals in this movie where stunning and I absolutely loved the back story of Maleficent. Go see it!! You won't regret it!

According to other sites, X-Men: Days of Future Past did get over the $500 million mark internationally this weekend. It has become the most successful X-Men film ever, and in its second weekend, made a little under half domestically of what Maleficent made in its opening. That's not to take anything away from Maleficent, but I think the implication of failure for the film isn't quite accurate.

Maleficent was the best movie I seen in years. Angelina did her thing. The movie was very enchanting and powerful. I'm so proud that the movie teaches young girls that it takes more than love from a man but true love from someone you consider as a mother. Angelina you are the queen.
