Umm- Can we please get some recognition that the real ‘GAP’ in the film is that we are not, at least once, introduced to Craig?!

No, they don't explain at all. In fact two other deleted scenes are shown or mentioned (one for sure) in the making-of documentary, but aren't in the deleted scenes.

Also, Leslie Mann (Apatow's wife) says she was in the film, but she appears nowhere as well, so there's obviously even more.

Yes, it's nice for completeists to get it all, but no Criterion disc has every scrap of footage ever shot. If so, each disc would be 4-discs long. They present the best that represents the best context. That's always how it's worked.

Do the guys (particulary Wes) explain why ALL the deleted scenes aren’t on the new DVD? Seems like such a waste to make a Criterion Edition, while not including everything they can and making it complete? With a film like Bottle Rocket, where you love the characters sooo much, every scene (even if it’s not important to the story) is a must see in my book.

We are not as obsessed with Wes Anderson as we seem, we have a lot of problems with his later films, but we watched Bottle Rocket this weekend and took notes and then when we were done we realized we had a mammoth amount of notes and we didn't want to let them go to waste.

yes, we're being apologists, but it's so much work, why throw it away.
