Snowpiercer doesn't "…set the stage of what's to come…". It's a complete story in itself with a beginning, middle and end. Despite the Volume 1 in the title, it isn't part one of a series; rather, volume two is a many years later sequel to Snowpiercer.

You said "…until that movie arrives, the graphic novel will be suitable substitute for those looking to board this futuristic tale…" Substitute? Really? The book is the real thing, the original version of the story, and certainly not a substitute for a cinematic remake of it. I realise that this is a film site, but you're being condewscending there to the source material.
