Agreed it\’s Bardem\’s best performance though, along with the fact that 21 Grams is convoluted and Babel is flimsy, plot wise, but they are still great houses of incredible acting across the board as mentioned throughout here.

I personally think it\’s the directors best film and it was my favorite that year. I don\’t see the problem you have with the plot. I think it\’s depressing as hell but also thought provoking. How would you feel if you fall in love with someone only to find out they are only alive cause your first love died? Heavy stuff, but not heavy handed.
