That photo hung on the wall of Gatorland's gift shop for many years and show's the blonde bombshell with Gatorland's founder, Owen Godwin. Jayne's career began in Florida in 1955 when she was one of the guests invited to the premier of 'Underwater' starring Jane Russell. Talk about a publicity gimmick – the audience viewed the film underwater wearing scuba gear! Throughout her short-lived career, Jayne was in and out of the Sunshine State either filming or making a personal appearance in a nightclub or to benefit a charity. Her favorite charity was The March of Dimes. Jayne Mansfield was an 'approachable star' and was the only sex symbol to have children. Of her five children, MARISKA HARGITAY went on to fame and fortune at 'Olivia' on the NBC drama, LAW & ORDER.
